HISTORY 101
The Cardiff Warriors have emerged as one of the most exciting & elite teams in Wales so far into their first season.. although there is a little more history to the club. Club Manager "Musa Hasan", who ran the Cardiff Bay Warriors basketball non for profit project for a number of years agreed to join forces with ex-pro & 1985 NBA draft pick "Chris Harper" to take over the former local club know as the Trelai Warriors. The Warriors then approched former club manager & co-founder of the Cardiff Capitals basketball club, "Nas" to join forces with them as club secretary .. Together the club management compromised of Coach Haper, Musa Hasan, Nas & Equipment Manager Carl Dolecki, had decided to re-brand the club as the Cardiff Warriors & enter the club into the south wales league for the 2009/10 season with hopes & asspirations of entering the national league ranks in the near future.
While we do have players of various ages from all over Cardiff city, our main focus & goal is to provide dicipline & a positive/creative outlet for the inner city youths of Cardiff (which is why we locate ourselves in the most needed areas of the city, Butetown,Cardiff Docks & Splott) & to keep them off the street corners & in the gym!

The phenomenal success of the Warriors undeafeted first season team has now also earned them promotion with a position into Division 1, aswell as having a second team in D2, ensuring MAXIMUM exposure for any sponsor's throughout the whole of south & west wales at home & away games.
